I'm really excited to be at my desk today. I have little piles of inspiration in every corner of the office today (major mess). As I'm looking through my archives I came across these amazing photographs by Deborah Turbeville. These shoots pretty much blow my mind away. Her photos really capture the direction we want to take for our 2012 look book. Her images are strong, sexy, and really structured which is something we work really to achieve for every season. Click on Deborah Turbeville and discover her amazing photos for yourself.
I'm looking forward to sharing more with you in the new year. It's going to be an exciting ride.
We did a outrageous interview last year and thought it was time to share it with you. The show is Rew n Who? and it's a fun show that highlights artist, writers, musicians and all around entertainment. The show reminds me of the awesome New York underground shows of the 1980's and 90's. We also had our beautiful and amazing friend Isabel model for us and she really turned some heads in the studio that day. I hope you enjoy our interview.
Part two! The skeletons are running out of the closet!
So It's Wednesday and Christmas is on Saturday and we bet you're still shopping. I'll tell you the truth, we haven't bought a damn thing. All I know is that I've got to hit up Toys R Us for my nephews presents and I'm procrastinating that trip for obvious reasons (screaming kids and being pushed my moms). Either
If you need any suggestions, here are some last minute ideas that are fun, still thoughtful and really affordable.
1: Since we love food, a gift of something thats delicious is always our favorite. Why not give the gift of cheese, bread, spreads, even an amazing olive oil?
2: A book. It's personal and nice. I have always loved receiving books. Here are some of our favorites. Essential Dali, Just Kids by Patti Smith, Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller, and I'm with the Band by Pamela Des Barres.
3: A music playlist- I love a personal playlist. I like to start off my playlist with Rock and Roll on to a little funk and then end it with some smooth sexy R&B. Just sayin.
4: A bottle of cheer!! Wine, champagne, or some new trendy liquor. Add a little recipe of the newest mix cocktail for a fun touch.
5: Love. Spending a little time with your friends, family, or a lover is a gift. Go for a night on the town or stay in and be extra cozy. Love to love you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all from Rica!! Enjoy a little old school fun on us!!
This year christmas seems to be on Adderall. We do have the Christmas spirit, don't get us wrong but with all the hustle, bustle and stress everyone goes through it seems we get a little panicked (scared). Trust me, I love presents of any kind but this year I'm grateful for being healthy and having amazing people in my life. This year we are giving the gift of yummy treats. I'm making my holiday cookies that everyone loves (except for Brendan). Brendan is making his famous apple pie and I'm going to attempt to make Puerto Rican Coquito and Flan (aight).
Sharing is caring. Here is my recipe for my Holiday cookies for the christmas cookie monsters.
I think Christian Lacroix would love our cookies. Lacroix sweetie darling.

Check out the Teddy Boy/Teddy Girl style!! The style is a 1950's revival of the old Edwardian era style but they made it all their own. It incorporated American Rock n' Roll and was originally a teenage movement. Here are some amazing images for you all to enjoy!
I recently styled a music video for the amazing band Jessica 6. It's the video for their new single White Horse. This track will make you sweat it out on the dance floor. It was great fun putting the looks together and working with the talented (and really handsome) Marco Ovando . Here are a few sneak previews of the video. Can't wait to share the final cut with you!!
We are gathering my inspiration for 2012. Yes 2012. Gag right? Well so far it's starting out as pretty naughty but easing it's way to my favorite 1990's fashion photos that I adore. Let's see where this goes. I may have to refrain myself a little for the masses. Should I get in a more flowery mood? It's still early. xo
